World Cup Photo Exhibition Celebrates Ghana’s Global Football Journey
A compelling World Cup photo exhibition showcasing Ghana’s memorable journey on football’s biggest stage has opened in Accra, in a creative collaboration between the Tribe Cultural Festival and Images Image, with support from the Canadian High Commission in Accra.
The exhibition featuring the powerful and evocative photography of Senyuiedzorm Adadevoh traces Ghana’s participation at the FIFA World Cup from the Black Stars’ first appearance in 2006 through to 2022.
The exhibition was also just a sneak peek of the yet to be lunch Football Photobook by Senyuiedzorm Awusi Adadevoh named GHANA’S WORLD CUP ODYSSEY which is a coffee table photobook chronicling all the major moments on the pitch from the Black Stars participating at the 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2022 FIFA World Cups.
Visitors were taken on a visual journey of passion, pride, and national identity, with iconic moments captured from three World Cup campaigns that captured the hearts of fans around the globe. The photobook compiles stunning imagery and narrative context, offering fans and football lovers an enduring tribute to Ghana’s international football legacy.
Representatives from the Canadian High Commission in Accra joined event organizers Tribe Cultural Festival, members of PFAG and football enthusiasts in commending Adadevoh’s work as a powerful testament to sport as a cultural connector, and a reminder of Ghana’s impact on the global game.
