Christian Atsu Twasam State Burial
ATSU GOES HOME AS WIFE AND KIDS LOOK ON.
The final funeral rites for the late Black Stars and Hatayspor player Christian Atsu Twasam was held in the early hours of Friday March 17 in Accra.
The state sponsored funeral which was held at the forecourt of the State house in Accra saw the President of Ghana including his vice, all present with the Turkyie Ambassador to Ghana also present and the vice president of the Hatayspor football club in Turkyie also present at the ceremony.
Atsu 31, was killed in a devastating earthquake that hit the southern part of Turkyie and killing over twenty thousand people with tens of thousands also injured and displaced in February.
Also in attendance at the funeral is the current Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton with one of his assistants George Boateng, Ghana football Association president Kurt Okraku, former national team players and members of Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) and host of other traditional rulers.

A One Week remembrance celebration is being held for the late Black Stars player Christian Atsu Twasam, who was killed in the disastrous earthquake that happened in Turkey in February.
The event is being at the Adjriganor football astro park by his family and would use that opportunity to announce the date for the final funeral rites.
